Last night was chilly but lovely while out poking around. It’s still cold enough out that any riding that you do feels good, regardless of the quality.

Photographs from visiting Long Island Sphinx statue, located in Bayport, NY.
Saw this excellently retro mural at The Garage Pitstop Deli this morning while I was out playing phototag.
The iconic Pearlroth House sits in the dunes all boarded up braced against unusually cold winds of winter that we’ve been having this year.
It’s still cold, icy and salty out on my little patch of island. So, after breakfast today we headed out to watch the ice boats that run on the bay. I’d never seen them...
Kenny and I used to ride by this curious buggy now and again. Sadly the mystery mobile is no longer parked at the bar near the old Kings Park Pyschiatric building. I snapped these back in 2004 and just happened to find them on my photo drive tonight. I thought they were too good not to share~

But, I left the house completely expecting to not be able to coordinate meeting strangers in a crowd, which is exactly what happened.
Will the road you are on get you to my place? …God I ride past this church sign all the time on the way in to town. Of all of the local church signs,...
There is a sad irony about living on this island. Unless you’re a resident of the town the beaches are located in, most of the time, you can’t get near the water. ‘No Stopping...

Do you ever feel like a ship floating out in the abyss. Almost invisible. Surrounded by things that all blend together. The clouds belong to the water and the water to the sky. You...
