Fabulous Celebrity Alert! Interviewed at RideADV.com

I have somehow managed to find two seconds to write this post in my downtime between jet setting and canoodling. Being a fabulous celebrity moto-blogger is quite time consuming, you know.
::bored sigh::

 Yea, right!

I was tickled pink to be interviewed by the sexy people at RideADV.com. I met Eric, their founder at an AltRider event in Pennsylvania in 2011. Little did I know that he would be my ticket to fame and fortune!

I would love it if you’d take a peek at the interview there and let me know what you think.

Ride Adventures is a motorcycle tour and rental company that can act as your tour operator, travel agent and/or travel advisor. Have you thought about taking a riding trip to a far away place like Peru, Columbia, Australia or even an adventure ride on the Trans-Wisconsin Trail? Ride Adventures knows how to turn your dream into reality.

Thanks bunches!

Featured on Liz Jansen’s Feel Good Friday Blog

Shortly after the new year I was contacted by Liz Jansen, author of Women, Motorcycles and the Road to Empowerment with a request to include my post about taking my mom for a ride in the Ural sidecar on Christmas day on her blog.

I was of course tickled pink and accepted her offer right away.

Thank you for including our little story in your Feel Good Friday blog, Liz! I think my mom feels like a rockstar ;)

You can catch Liz at many speaking engagements and motorcycle events around the US and Canada.

Have you ever had the opportunity to read Liz’s book or hear her speak?

Double Pokey All The Way Across the Sky!

One afternoon in December my heart shattered into a pile of pink dust when I came home from a ride and discovered that my favorite sunglasses AND tiny Pokey missing were missing from my jacket pocket. Tragedy.

In the days following his disappearance I kept hoping that the doorbell would ring and Pokey would be there with a tiny hobo bindle, a five o’clock shadow and some great stories about eating beans next to a camp fire. Alas, my dream was just that.

Life began to get busy as it always does with the hustle and bustle of the holidays. Still, tiny Pokey stayed away.

Weeks later on a cold winter night there came a knock at the door… what’s this? A box for me? Hmm.

SUPER SIZED POKEY WITH LOJACK!

Completely unable to contain my excitement, I broke out into some of my sweetest dance moves and chanted “super-sized Pokey with a Loooo-Jack!” over and over until my family considered lunking me over the head with a monkey wrench to shut me up. :)

I was elated to have a Pokey back in the game.

So you can imagine my surprise when the mailman delivered another package…

DOUBLE POKEY ALL THE WAY ACROSS THE SKY! OHHHH WOWWWW!

Feeling my deep sense of Pokey loss, my friends John & Ed went out in search of Pokeys to take their rightful place on the Ural. *wipes tear away*

Isn’t that beautiful?

If you happen to see tiny Pokey out there, just let him know he can still come home. Mama can never have too many little orange horses.

Wishing You a Merry Christmas

*tap*tap* Is this thing on?

It is Christmas Eve. I must send out some Christmas love to each and every one of you.

You don’t celebrate Christmas? Well, that’s okay. My wish for you is the same: Peace and Love. When you have those two things in your life it seems that anything else is possible.

Throughout the year you’ve been there on the other side of the pixels giving me confidence, sharing my happiness, and taking the time to share your own stories with me. You’ve laughed, you’ve inspired and listened. I thank you deeply.

If I don’t say this enough, I’m sorry –  I am so grateful that you take time out of your day to read this little blog. That makes me tremendously happy. Thank you.

With love and hugs across the miles – I wish you all peace and love and a Merry Christmas.

Vintage Russian Chaika Motorcycle Watch

Can you imagine my delight when I opened the little golden Christmas box to find this inside?

It is a Russian watch called a Chaika. My dear friend Greg went on the hunt to find it for me as a complement to the Ural. He even found a sweet orange band to match. I was so completely knocked out when I saw it.

It is no secret that I am a sentimental fool. This is especially true at Christmas time. When I stop and think about the efforts and care that people put into doing something to make you smile – it’s like I don’t even know how to process that. It can be so humbling. I may have even got a bit misty eyed. But just a little!

Have I mentioned lately that I’m incredibly lucky?
