Just a stones throw from Bedford, Pa.’s Coffee Pot sits Dunkle’s Gulf station. An art deco jewel, this station was built in 1933 and is still in full operation today.

What is so amazing to me is to see the Christmas wreath on the ladies room door….its like turning back the clock.

You know, I thought the same thing?
I guess the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree
I took pics (that I didn’t post) of the wreaths on both the men’s and women’s restroom doors

Good pictures! I’ve stood in traffic trying to get a good shot of the place and it can be a challenge.
And, I swear that red floor jack sits in front of the place 24/7

Thanks
Luckily, there wasn’t really anyone around at all. I found it hard to get pics because there is so much peripheral “junk” around or in the way.

Speaking of Bedford, just south of Bedford Virginia you can find this!

Definitely worthy of a detour if you ask me.

Oh, Arc – That’s great!
Why, I wanted to kick my own ass at least 3 times this week! Good find, toots. Will you be hitting that on your way to Nashville?

What a great station Fuzz. With so many independent petrol stations closing in the UK because of the supermarkets, I hope the locals look after this one.
It’s a pity that the pumps aren’t the originals, or are they?
