The Techniflex Ghost Sign – Port Jervis, NY
The rusty orange color, the fading logo and tag line? These things make for an irresistible stop for me when I’m out bumming around. This building on Jersey Ave in Port Jervis, New York hit all the marks.
It wasn’t until I got up close to the sign that I noted the highly faded image of the native man in a headdress. I used a brush tool to darken him up a bit in the image below to get a better look. A quick look around the web refers to him as being a Lenape Delaware Indian, but I don’t personally know how to assess that for sure. He is a striking part of the image, however.
