So Long, See Rock City Barn – Robbinsville, NC
In February of ’25, I drove east across the Cherohala Skyway to Robbinsville, NC for lunch. To my surprise, the Rock City barn I’d last photographed there in October 2018 was nothing more than a pile of sticks.
By the looks of this photo, it’s demise shouldn’t have been much of a shock. Back in 2018 the barn was a bit worse for wear. Yet, even so ~ sometimes the idea that time marches on exacting its toll whether we like it or not, catches us off guard.
