Owl See You Around

Over the years, I have been asked many times how I find the funky, weird, and cool stuff I’ve posted about. My Google Map is full of pins or things that I’ve seen online and saved for later. When I pass through a place, if there is something I’ve pinned, I do try to swing by for a visit.

But… there is also the matter of that wonderful and mercurial companion serendipity. It is the unexpected encounters that can really tickle you.

While standing in a gas station parking lot eating a granola bar, I noticed someone staring at me.

Nothing could have prepared me for the Owlmobile. The level of commitment here is just amazing. This car belongs to a person who is clearly incredibly passionate about owls.

Sometimes the universe just serves up something great. I hope I never lose the ability to notice.
