Thanks, Friends

It isn’t a secret that I’m camera shy. It makes me feel incredibly vulnerable to not only be seen but to have to speak as well. One of the things I want to work on for myself is getting over it. So what you get here is me in all my no makeup, windburned, puffy riding eyes glory. This is it. This is me. (Yes, I know I’m a neurotic freak.)

But beyond all that “please, don’t hate me because I’m not 21 and glamorous” disclaimering, the most important thing about this post? I just want to thank you for everything that you’ve given to me, especially in these last few weeks. You’ve been amazing.

Thank you, thank you, thank you.

You’re gorgeous Fuzz. I’ve dealt with my own ‘existential crisis’ in the past few years and have started to come through it with a mission and the confidence that I can overcome and achieve the mission. I was drifting for many years, full of self-doubt, fear and at times self- loathing. Now that I have a direction the fear and doubt are leaving me, confidence is returning, and I am experiencing joy and happiness again. It took a deteriorating environment at work to wake me up and get my priorities straight. This situation–which generated anger, fear and depression in me for two years–has actually been a huge gift. Life is funny like that…..putting obstacles in your way to teach you lessons you need to learn. But when you finally have the epiphany and ‘get it’, you move to a higher plane of consciousness. I hope you too are beginning to emerge on the other side. I love reading your blog. You are fearless in many ways–putting your struggles out there for all to see. I wish peace and happiness. Steve

  6. Thank you for posting the video — and not just because you’re feeling better of which I’m glad.

Your blog is good because its author is authentic and is willing to be vulnerable. We all need to see how that’s done. Like your trips on two wheels, you’re an adventurer of the mind and spirit.

    That’s a beautiful thing.

    Be well!

The earlier responses say it much better than I can, but I must mention that smile ! To post your video when you feel so vulnerable just shows what you are made of and reassures me that you have what it takes to get back to your normal self. I guess this is the start of a new adventure, and like all adventures, it will have its lows, but as an experienced adventurer, you know the highs will outweigh these. As a person who rides alone often however, you at least need to know that on this journey there are a lot of us out there that have your back. May it be a swift, safe and enjoyable journey back Fuzz and thank you for your posts, especially this one.
