Boxing Day Fatbike Riding in Calverton
Because we’re new to trail riding on our bicycles, Kenny and I have kind of decided to give each local trail a whirl. This past Friday, we brought our fatbikes to Calverton for the first time.
The main trail loop is about 8 miles and is mostly flat. There are a few single diamond loops off of the main trail that had a little climb and some logs to traverse that tack on another mile or so.
Overall the ride is generally flat and wiggly. A more aggressive mountain biker might think it was on the dull side but for me? It was a lot of fun. I’m just happy to be out enjoying the beautiful winter light on my bicycle.
The terrain was dry which was surprising considering how much rain we’d had over the last week. You couldn’t have asked for nicer weather in December here in New York. It was in low 50’s!
Apparently I must’ve knocked into the GoPro on my handlebars when we rode the Rollercoaster Loop. Lucky you, you get to seem my boobs. And my nostrils. Sexytime!
