Day 17: A Love Affair Years In The Making – #29in29

While looking through old photos for yesterday’s #29in29 post I found some old photos of Chloe. By the look of things, she’s had her eye on the little green KLX for some time! 🙂

I guess I shouldn’t be surprised that her favorite color is green.

A few of the other bloggers who are also doing #29in29 posted some of their old motorcycle photos. Taking a cue from them, I thought I would see what I could dig up on my computer. Unfortunately, I don’t have very many old photos of me and my motorcycles. I guess that is one of the downsides of being camera shy. But – I did find a few.

The Family That Plays Together

Today was a big day here at our house. Chloe got her very first motorcycle. She is now the proud owner of a new Kawasaki KLX110. And, boy was she surprised!

Kenny and I are both so very excited to share this lifelong passion with her. Let the good times roll!

Do your kids ride, too? Did you learn to ride as a kid?

Over the weekend, I was digging through a box of old photos, scanning them and creating digital copies.  I came across this photo from November of 1996; it was me hugging my firecracker red ZX-6R.

I had so many great times on that bike. Long summer weekends riding and riding and riding… anywhere and everywhere. Those were the days.

How about you?

Do you miss any of your old rides? Do you think you miss the bike or the time in your life it represents?

My Firecracker Red 1996 ZX6R was named Cherry Pie. To say that I loved that bike would be the understatement of the century. Unfortunately she met her untimely demise in a tangle with a minivan in 1998.
