Sometimes when I leave my house, the sun at my back – I take a strange comfort in seeing my shadow riding along with me. Seeing it makes me feel like I’m “going somewhere”.
Over time you start to become familiar with where your shadow should be on the ground given the time of day. It becomes your constant companion.
As I stood alone at the edge of the beach this morning, it was there with me once again. But today was different. It was the first time that I realized that my shadow is nothing more than a nondescript outline of a person. All of the bells and whistles that make the me in me were hidden.

Here is another one from the way back machine – this time from April 2003. Kenny’s Aprilia Falco and my Ducati 996 at Long Island’s Big Duck.
Italian motorcycles and giant roadside animals… love was bound to happen.
While looking through old photos for yesterday’s #29in29 post I found some old photos of Chloe. By the look of things, she’s had her eye on the little green KLX for some time! 🙂
I guess I shouldn’t be surprised that her favorite color is green.
A few of the other bloggers who are also doing #29in29 posted some of their old motorcycle photos. Taking a cue from them, I thought I would see what I could dig up on my computer. Unfortunately, I don’t have very many old photos of me and my motorcycles. I guess that is one of the downsides of being camera shy. But – I did find a few.

Make sure to stop by the following blogs to see how they’re doing throughout the month!
In the last 6 months, I’ve probably taken about 3 bajilion photos with my GoPro. As I’ve scanned through the results, picking out the photos that I want to keep and dumping the rest, I’ve noticed some behavioral patterns in the candid shots.
I wasn’t aware that I do this but apparently when I use my iPhone to take photos, I’m totally posh about it. Pinky out! 😆
If you ever need any Grey Poupon, lemme know!
