The World’s Largest Big Mac – North Huntingdon, Pennsylvania
There are moments in your life when something crosses your path that you didn’t know you’d want to see until the moment you actually see it. This giant Big Mac falls squarely in that category for me.

You have to admit, that is a finely crafted fiberglass burger. The lettuce, the sesame seeds? Well done. It certainly deserves the pedal it resides on.
Full confession ~ I don’t think I’ve ever actually eaten a Big Mac. So I don’t really have an emotional connection to the big burger. And the nostalgic pull sits squarely with the commercial jingle that was everywhere when I was a kid in the 80’s: Two all beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, onions, and a sesame seed bun.

Nevertheless, heading east on the Lincoln Highway and needing to make a pit stop provided the perfect opportunity to visit the behemoth 14-foot tall fiberglass burger.

This McDonalds bills itself as a museum of sorts. But if I’m honest, it wasn’t particularly museum-y. That lameness might actually be a part of the museum’s strange appeal for me. Kind of like it’s so bad, it’s good. I will say however, that I did love this Officer Big Mac statue. Of the McDonaldland characters, he’s always seemed like a pretty good dude.

Would I recommend going way out of your way to visit this spot? Mmm, probably not. But if you’re in the area? Why the hell not? It isn’t everyday you get to see a cool, giant Big Mac.
