Serendipity is a Donut Building – Jefferson City, Tennessee
Sometimes it feels like I’m a broken record when I say “stop and take the picture.”
If I’m honest, I myself have had many occasions where I sailed right on by something, muttering to myself that I’d stop on the way back, or that I’d stop next time. And more often than not “next time” hasn’t materialized. I guess you might say that I arrived at the point of evangelizing the stop as a result of my own self-inflicted missed opportunities.
Enter stage left – a gigantic pink donut.
This building here, which I did stop for in the late summer of ‘25… is no more. By November when I’d passed by again the big, beautiful donut was gone. Just a matter of mere weeks made the difference between seeing and snapping a shareable memory of this magnificent sprinkled beast and only reading about its prior existence.
That’s the beauty of serendipity, I guess. Sometimes you trip over something unexpectedly incredible. What you do from there – well, that up to you.
