See Rock City and Ruby Falls Barn

After languishing as a lonely star on my Google Map for years, in March of ’25, I made a pilgrimage to see this barn. It’s a lovely two-sided number which features advertising for Ruby Falls on one side, and Rock City on the other.

You’ll find this one on Buttermilk Rd. W near Kingston, Tennessee.

The way that the barn is positioned on the property and amongst the overgrowth, it was difficult to get an unobstructed photo of the Rock City side.

It reads: Millions Have Seen Rocky City. Have You?

If you’re traveling along I-40, you get the best vantage point of all of the lettering on the Rock City side of the roof. This pic is terrible, but you get the point. I screencapped it from an unzoomed video passing it on the way to Nashville.

Google Maps streetview is actually pretty good!
