Route 66: Here It Is Billboard – Joseph City, Arizona

It’s funny how things worm their way into your consciousness and set up camp. Sights along Route 66 fall do this for me. The romantic sway that the Route holds over me has mysterious origins. I can’t pinpoint a time in which it became an interest to me, and I can’t remember a time when I didn’t know about it.
When I pulled up to the Here It Is billboard at the Jackrabbit Trading Post it was kind of surreal. I mean, how many times have I seen this thing in movies, tv, magazines, on other people’s pictures on the internet? A million bajillion? Probably. And yet ~ there it was. It was no longer some far away place that existed in someday. It was “now” and as a result, with me forever.

Thanks, Chris i have literal years worth of photos of stuff I’ve seen to share!
I figured – why not get back to it. Better than just posting it to Instagram.
