Blessings from Strangers

While standing in a North Carolina gas station parking lot drinking an apple juice and looking at Google Maps, a group of riders pulled in behind me and went about their business. One of them came over to say hello and began chatting about riding and New York. Friendly guy.

As he was about to walk away, he reached into his pocket and handed me this little wooden cross and said “God bless you. Ride safe.”

Now, I may not subscribe to his beliefs but I’ll take all the blessings I can get. It’s always nice when someone wishes good things for you.

Motorcycle people are alright.

Same thing happened to me! I’m not religious but ride with that little cross in my jacket pocket every ride. Can’t hurt, can it?
