Eavesdropping in the diner. (Again)
A man sitting at the counter just said to the waitress: “I come here everyday just to see you. Makes my day.” She didn’t respond with any warmth that I perceived.
Something sweet and sad about that exchange.
Very sweet and sad. We just saw the movie “Love the Coopers” and there is a very similar scenario in it, but the waitress feels the same way. 🙂
