The 2015 Iron Butt Rally is Underway

The Iron Butt Rally – 11 Days – 11,000 Miles

That’s what the logo says.

Eighty+ riders steamed out of Rally HQ in Albuquerque, New Mexico on Monday June 29 on a 11-day quest to collect points scattered throughout the country. A colossal test of endurance and planning, the Iron Butt Rally is somethin’ else.

During the rally, riders are barred from communicating via social media.,That leaves curious onlookers fiending for the daily dispatches from the official rally scribe. They serve up clues as to what is going on as we watch the anonymous little numbers float around the Spotwalla map.

While I of course wish safe travels to all participants, this year I’m cheering on 2 riders in particular – Chris and Hammy; both IBR rookies.

Ride on!

Thanks for the good wishes. It must have worked as Hammy and I both finished!
