MotoBlogging – Every Day in November #BEDN

Blog Every Day in November badgeWhile reading Twitter and stuffing my face with leftover Halloween candy, I saw a post from Zoe at Splodz Blog about a month long November blogging challenge. It’s called BEDN – Blog Every Day in November and being hosted by Rosalilium.

I’ve been down this road before with my own 29in29 Challenge. Blog every day. Sounds easy enough, right? I do like to write things down but often find that I’m distracted by outlets like Twitter. Once I’ve gotten the chit-chat out, my blog suffers. Hopefully this challenge will help me to get this ship back on course. Even if just for a little while.

One of the upsides is that the BEDN challenge comes with daily topic prompts that you can choose to follow. Or not.

Today’s topic? Introduction. Tell the other #BEDN folks who you are and maybe tell your long time readers something new about you.

Here goes…

I am: Mom, wife, motorcyclist, dog-lover. Rider of dirt, street, two wheels, three wheels, bicycle wheels.

I’ve been blogging on this lil ole website in some form or another for about 10 years. It all started as a way of documenting my travels and a process to ‘remember.’ The progression was natural, I guess. I was always the type of girl who wrote notes, kept a diary, scribbled horrible poetry. A blog seems like the natural extension of all that.

The focus of the blog is motorcycles. Mostly. Sort of. It is about motorcycles in the way that they allow me to see the world, not so much the nuts and bolts of makes, models and mechanicals. This blog is more about the seeing, the traveling, the living that motorcycles deliver me to.

Well? This spring I started running. Yes, with my feet.

Running is something I never thought I’d be able to do. I’m not great at it, but man, I love it.

I spent the past few month running in 5Ks, 5-milers and 10Ks. I’m going to be doing a 10-miler in January and hopefully… will be doing my first half marathon in the spring.

So – That’s my story.

If you’re new here, I’m glad to have you along. If you’re a familiar face then you already know I’m glad you’re still here.

Only 29 posts to go! 🙂

I saw the #BEDN tag and the website but figured that I don’t have enough to say. You could try and have 50,000 words in the month and have NaNoWriMo done as well!

Good luck with the running. I was so miserable after my last marathon that I swore that I would never run again (unless I was being chased!).

Oh, fooey. You have plenty to talk about. (If you want to).
The best part is if you aren’t feeling it, the fun is gone, you just don’t wanna carry on? Just stop. I always want to post but I just don’t do it. And I’m not sure why.

Thank you 🙂 I’m in awe of being able to run a marathon. I hope I make it to a point where one day I see that as a possibility. I’ll be excitedly cheering on a friend who is doing NYC this weekend. So proud of her!

You’ve been doing well with all that running. I need to get my blog back on track. I’ve been in a general funk of late. Nothing is exactly fun at the moment. Maybe things will perk up today.

I was bitten by the 20in29 bug. No way I am up for this, lol. Good for you on doing it. You are dedicated enough you’ll do great.

Kudos to you for getting into running. I too enjoy it but haven’t been doing much. I should I could get back to it. I was doing 5ks but my “exercise indued asthma’ gets to me. And I hate inhalers and refuse to use them.

      Once bitten, twice shy 😀

I cant imagine what it’s like to have any sort of ailment and to try to run through it. There is something so strangely peaceful about the process. I had no idea I would love it so much.

You are so awesome on so many levels! I’ll add my kudos to your #BEDN. As far as your running goes … WOW! Best wishes on the half marathon. Cheering you on from afar! xoxo

It’s great when ideas from other bloggers inspire us to expand our reach. This is a cool notion. We always want more from Fuzzy!

Aw thanks for the mention! I’ve not done one of these blogging challenges before but I’m enjoying this one so far… I wonder if I’ll be able to keep up?! Looking forward to reading what you make of the prompts.

And well done on the running.
