She bought me a cute pair of ballet flats that could be packed in my tankbag compactly. When you've got limited bag real estate on the bike, every inch counts. You guys know what I'm talking about, right? *wink*wink* When I'm travelling on the bike and its time to stop for the night, I generally pick a place that either has a restaurant within the m/hotel or has food available within a short walking distance. After spending the day covered in bugs and road goo, sometimes you just want to feel like a girl. With that, I find that packing a small folding dress of some sort usually works out well for me. If you choose a material that isn't generally wrinkley or is intentionally crinkled/wrinkley and is fast drying, you can actually look like you haven't been in the saddle all day and handwash & hang it overnight if you need to. Because the moto boots just don't alawys cut it, I usually carry a pair of some sort of flip-flops in my tankbag. They also eliminate the need for "extra" socks and for the most part, pack smaller than most pairs of shoes. These new ballet flats courtesy of my super-cool Ma, actually pack down smaller than one of the pairs of flip flops I have and are cute to boot!
