Long Island has one Muffler Man on it’s shores. It is an indian-style man that stands outside of the Riverhead Raceway oval where he’s been waving to the traffic since the 1970’s. He’s always visible. Why not stop by and say how…err, Hi?

Riverhead, New York 11901
Fun Fact: This particular muffler man was once featured in a scene of the Sopranos.
Motorcycles and photography are a match made in heaven. How about posting some of your fab motorcycle-related photos and sharing them with us based on a photo meme?
On the last two days of our 2008 California road trip, Kenny, Greg and I headed south along the coast from Crescent City back to San Francisco. Riding through the Redwoods was almost a surreal experience and something of a dream come true.
Given their tremendous size, I found it really difficult to capture just how big they were in photos. If you enlarge this photo, you can see that Kenny is positively dwarfed in the hollow of this tree.

What is a Meme?
First things first. Meme, it sounds like team.
Here on the web, a meme is a popular or contagious idea or theme. You know, like LOLCats, a bunny with a pancake on it’s head or sad Keanu.
Make sure you leave a comment below so we can take a peek at your handy work!
When the first snow of this winter fell, Kenny went out to see what it felt like to ride in it. Being that neither of our DRZs have studs in their tires, it was just a quick run around the neighborhood. You know – for scientific purposes.
As an observer there was something beautiful about seeing the orange glow of his headlight slowly making it’s way through the whirling snowflakes. While the snow started to accumulate the world outside had a very flat, muffled sound. There was no noise except for the gentle thump of his engine.
He would be the first to admit that riding on the snow without studs is, well.. probably not a great idea. Your mileage may vary.
I took my remaining vacation days off around Christmas and New Years again this year. That means 16 glorious days off to do absolutely nothing. Just a little time to recharge and relax. But,… as the saying goes – the devil will find work for idle hands to do.
When the words “You know what we should do?” leave my lips, at this point Kenny should immediately turn on his heals and walk out of the room. But, bless his blonde little heart he goes along with my hairbrained schemes.
