Pulling Over For The Good Stuff – Willys Wagon

When I’m alone and out riding around on my motorcycle, I often pull over and look at stuff that catches my eye. Conversely, I almost never do it in my car. Part of it may be that it’s so easy to find a spot to tuck a bike on the side of the road. But I wonder if my mindset is just different when I’m riding. Driving my car is never done in pleasure-mode but even if commuting, riding a bike always is. Perhaps utilitarian endeavors just don’t leave a lot of room for whim following.

This was something nifty I pulled over for this weekend. There were no badges identifying it and I am not a car person, but I know enough to try to do a little internet sleuthing. What I think it is is a Willys Wagon with a Packard hood ornament on it. I’m sure one of you would know 🙂

    Yep, it’s certainly a Willys Wagon…

I owned a ’53 Willys Utility Truck for a few years. It was in pretty bad shape, but it still passed inspection (don’t ask me how). I drove it around town a bit, and my brother, sister-in-law, and I took it to several drive-in movies.

Not long after I sold it, I bought an ’05 Vespa GTS 250, and a whole new journey began for me… 🙂
