A Quick Check-In – I’m Alive and Well!

Whoops. It’s been 20 days since I posted anything. It isn’t that I haven’t had anything to talk about. Quite the contrary, really. I’ve done a few dualsport events, crashed twice during said dualsport events and have been hanging out and doing a bunch of stuff.

Dirtbeard!

Since a couple folks reached out to see how I’m doing, I thought it best to light a fire under my own ass and say, hello. So… HELLO! I’m alive and well and even happy.

Next week I’m heading off for another round of the Void Rally.

This year’s dastardly theme is Monopoly. Having to do “banking” that tallies mileage and bonus property prices should prove to be a challenge in the wee hours of the morning. I suspect that some strong riders will fall apart on the administrativa. Hopefully all of my years as an office dweller will help me along. We shall see!

So, how’s things with you?

Headed to Hunter Mtn this weekend for the Max BMW GS Challenge. Gonna ride my recently acquired Super Tenere in the Challenge!

Wow, a Tenere? That’s kind of unexpected. I hope you love it!

I saw the map for the GS course and it looks like it should be a fun time. With your trials experience I’m sure it’ll be a piece o’ cake.

I was surprise to see there is no camping at Hunter this year.

I sold my R1100RT to buy this bike, and I am pleased with my decision. The BMW GS’s are too top heavy for me and I could not reach the ground well on a Stelvio. I took my S10 off road last week and for me, it is almost impossible to ride up slippery terrain without the traction control. Ya, should be a hoot!

I don’t recognize you with your helmet off.

Glad to see you posting again 🙂 The rally sounds like fun! How much does the KTM weigh? I’ll tell you what, when sportbikes take a nap, they ain’t any fun to pick up either…. hope you are healed up!

Fun to see you without a helmet. Glad to hear about your riding. Hope the falls weren’t too bad. I’m taking my bike into NYC for service this weekend and then going to Washington DC next week to visit a friend. I’ve never met this person and suspect I won’t really like her (she’s awfully judgmental) but… a ride is a ride!

  8. Twenty days without posting and no withdrawal? You must have been busy with other things.

Great portrait. Got me wondering the last time I got that dirty. Probably back in the 20th century.

As always, some great photos. Keep at it. The best riding season is approaching!

Glad you checked in and I love the dirt beard! And, 20 days, pshaw, that’s a coffee break for some bloggers (me). Lol.
