  1. You travel to be yourself. Enjoying the physical or metaphysical path that takes you, and allows you to simply be.

It’s quite the ponder, but I’ve got this one down already.

  2. Glad you did not post this a week ago when I was in the middle of my road trip. I would have been thinking of this the entire ride 🙂

Sitting here at my desk my answer is it depends! When one first starts doing rides like this my thought is they are trying to lose themselves and get away or at least get a break from their everyday life. Along the way they realize they are actually trying to find themselves. We are all a product of our experiences and as we experience more and different things we change.

  3. I think I’m giving up on trying to find myself because I’m not quite sure what I’m looking for anymore. I agree with what Chris posted: ” We are all a product of our experiences and as we experience more and different things we change.”
So nowadays I’m trying to do more stuff that makes me happy and riding is definitely on that list.
Feeling content makes me feel like where I’m supposed to be.

  4. I think it’s both. You’re losing the everyday self and finding the free spirit self, if only for a short time.

It’s nice to just get away from that everyday stuff, wander around, and find joy in the simple pleasures. I hope your trip has been all you hoped it would be.
