Hello, My Name is Fuzzygalore – Girlie Motorcycle Blogger

Following up on the post The Voices of the Motorcycle Blogging Community, last Friday while sunbeaming outside with my dog Lilo, I sat around talking to myself.

If you’re a long time reader you probably realize that I’m camera shy and that I don’t often appear in photos on my own damn blog. On top of being camera shy, I feel like I am a terrible conversationalist so making a video was an interesting process. Even so, I found it strangely therapeutic.

So, for better or worse – this is the voice of the person you’re reading here.

I’ll go ahead and crawl under a rock now 🙂

    I am soooo impressed 😉

Yay! So happy to see you be brave. I know, firsthand, how charming you are so it’s great for you to share that warmth with the world. And you have no accent or any other reason to be shy.

      <3 Thank you, Allycat. <3
I wish I knew why doing something like showing the world “me” is so scary. I’m so sick of being scared that people aren’t going to like me or that I’m too ugly to have friends.

I’m trying to change my way of thinking. Hopefully I’ll be able to move toward being more free.

Thanks for this, Fuzzy. Made my day.

  4. James says:

Very nicely done. That video was absolutely charming.

  5. Anthony says:

Awesome stuff Fuzzy! Loved it. Great to see the voice of the face behind the lens of the camera…..

  6. With this video you’ve ascended to Celebrity status — if TMZ was featuring riding celebs this video would be there. Have to say I didn’t have a “voice” connected to you and I think it’s because your photos and writing developed a sound of its own.

It’s always good to put a face to a name and a voice to a face. Judging by your careful control of your appearance on your blog this was a big step to face the camera though you’ve left us all still puzzled about name and unicorns!

    Nice work.

  7. Lanza says:

Nice to finally see and hear you. No noticeable accent… you could anchor the evening news! I hear my inner voice and think it’s OK but hear my “real” voice on video and cringe. Takes courage – well done.

  8. When I was outside last evening and heard a collective cheer rise from the countryside, I wondered what the heck was going on. Now I know: The one and only Fuzzygalore finally posted a delightful video of herself to her website.

I might be echoing others here, Fuzzy, but this is sincere… You are absolutely charming and don’t seem the least bit shy. Keep stepping out of that shell–the world needs a lot more of such Fuzziness.

Oh, and so that Lilo doesn’t feel left out: What a sweetheart. She is lucky to have the Fuzzmops, and no doubt the Fuzzmops are lucky to have her.

  9. Rosie says:

    Applause!! Applause!!! You’re a natural Rachael 🙂
Although you didn’t reveal where the name Fuzzy Galore came from, I have my own hunch. I think it came from the term “warm fuzzies” because that’s what I got when I watched that video 🙂
    Urban Dictionary definition:
warm fuzzies: The warm, pleasant sensations one feels in the stomach and heart area when emotionally moved by an act of good will or love.

Btw, I think Lilo is a unicorn in disguise 😉

  10. Kathy says:

Well done! I must agree, you are far more charming than you give yourself credit for.

Dang you for leaving us all hanging, though. I’m thinking the origin is more to do with the hair on your head than any porn thing. But then, you could have strange secrets, too…

I did a video, begrudgingly. Ugh.

  11. Canajun says:

What a great little video – I’m still smiling.

  12. Missrider says:

Very nice you shared yourself with sweet Lilo, so fun!!

  13. Trobairitz says:

    Very cool Fuzzy.

I am too chicken/introverted to participate, but I appreciate that you crawled out long enough to do it.

  14. RichardM says:

Nice job with the video though you still left everyone in the dark. Is this the beginning of your transition from moto-blog to moto-vlog?

  15. curvyroads says:

I loved your video! You sound totally natural and conversational, not at all shy!

Darn you for leaving us hanging, although I am glad you cleared up that there is no connection to the lady of James Bond fame. Looking forward to hearing and seeing more Fuzzy. 😀

  16. Fuzzygalore says:

Thank you all so much for the supportive and positive feedback. I can’t tell you how much it means to me. If I could hug each and every one of you right now, i would. Maybe even twice.

  17. novos says:

Well, that was the most non accented pronunciation of “dog” and “coffee” I ever heard.

I need to shut the hell up next time 😀

    • Fuzzygalore says:

Now I have to wonder if I subconsciously sanitized it.

      Dawg, cawfee, tawk.

Nope, I don’t even type it with an accent 😉

    • novos says:

As a side note – it’s so great to hear you talk again – we always “talk” through chat or the computer, but to hear your voice, brings me right back to when I get to spend time in person with you and Crud. Even that short video makes it seem like we’re not 4,000 miles away. 🙂

  18. I love this! Its nice to hear how you sound! I like unicorns and fairies, I think its cool to dream. Ok now I have to do this too!

  19. shan says:

You have a fantastic smile! I wish I had teeth as pretty as yours. 🙂 Way to go for being brave and putting yourself out there!

  20. Ted Kettler says:

You were great!!! See, you can do that. Now come be guest on my podcast via skype (no video if you don’t want). I’ve interviewed so many people and it would few so good for you and my show. The turtle is out of the shell, may as well let it explore a little.

    • Fuzzygalore says:

Ughhh- I hate that WordPress does that. I re-pub’d a draft that had problems and it sends it out like its new :-/

That post is from 2015. I’ve had 2 years to perfect my awkwardness. But, thank you 😉

      • Ted Kettler says:

Well, I’d love to have you on the show. Email me and I’ll explain how I do my interviews and that will put you at ease.

        • Fuzzygalore says:

          Thanks, Ted.
How ’bout you just do the Void, I’ll buy you a beer at the end, we’ll talk and pretend I did it so everyone else could hear;)

          • Ted Kettler says:

Hmmm…. You will be happy to know that you share company with the likes of Ewan McGregor, Charley Boorman, Keanu Reeves, Willie G and Tim Allen as the people I am having a hard time getting on the show. I am closer to getting Jay Leno on than you. I applaud and respect your firm footing. This does not however mean that I give up, it just means that someday……
Perhaps I will see you at The Void, perhaps. Ride Safer.

  21. Excellent! Now stay out from under that rock, you look much better in the light.

[…] Fuzzy did it, too, with her usual creative panache. […]
