Postcards From The Road: Land of the Lost

Greetings from Dinosaurland!

Hi Y’all!

Having a great time moseying around below the Mason-Dixon line. We’re makin’ some new friends along the way. When you see a T-Rex on the road, what else is there to do but stop and say ‘hello!’

Wish you were here.

  1. Now that is a cool picture. It looks like you were transported back in time.

Fuzzy Galore’s most excellent adventures. Who needs a magic phone booth. I wonder what period in time your Tiger will transport you to next.

  2. That’s 40 miles from here, halfway between the VA and WV places. On a major road. How is it possible that I have NEVER driven past that? I guess I spend too much time on the back roads. How much do you want to bet that husband of mine knows it is there and always steered me around the place? He gets embarrassed when I stop to look at stuff like that. He’s the yin to my yang. But don’t tell him I said that.

    1. 😆

Some things are too good to pass up and require a detour. The dinos were that way for me. I’d seen that place before 5 or 6 years ago, so it seemed ripe for a pit stop. I don’t remember the dinosaurs in that spot then. I do remember a giant squid though, which is still there, too.

Get that husband of yours to take your picture WITH them!

  3. You have a knack for finding the coolest places. I’ll bet you’re the perfect travel-companion.

These dinosaurs remind me of a scene from my favorite movie of all time, “Pee-Wee’s Big Adventure.” As Pee-Wee said to Simone while they were sitting in the T-Rex’s mouth, “Let’s talk about your big ‘but’, Simone.”
