What Did We Buy On Black Friday?
Gasoline.
It seems like the retail world didn’t really miss us, considering they made record profits. I guess people still have plenty of money to buy useless crap at 4am. Hold the pepper spray.
Our family unit went a different route. There were no doorbuster sales for us. After stuffing our faces and giving Thanks, we spent the majority of the long holiday weekend doing things like going to the beach and riding our motorcycles.
Here in New York, the weather was perfect for riding.
How About You?
Did you do any riding this weekend?
It was a great weekend for some riding!!! I can’t believe we have this weather right now, it is almost December!
Indeed it was. It was so nice to be out. And today, too. It was 55 degrees when I left for work this morning!
Unfortunately no riding (or shopping). It was even too cold to go skiing. (-12F to -31F for most of the long weekend.)
sweet holy moly, Richard! It breaks my heart just readin’ it.
Fuzzy:
spent the weekend relaxing, no big purchases other than fixing our faucet, new spindle in the tap. We are getting frost in the morning so no commuting and we have had several wind/rain storms with power outages in neighbouring communities.
the daylight savings time is so depressing. It is dark before we get off work. I like summer better. You are so lucky to be able to go for a ride

Riding the Wet Coast
I gave up Black Friday shopping years ago. I will go and watch the madness sometimes. Ron has always found something worth fighting the crowds for. This year he actually convinced me to go to Sears (only in the afternoon after the hoards had tired out). We have officially entered the modern age of flat-screen TV, and hauled the big, bulky RCA off to the thrift store.
There. I’ve done my part for Black Friday and stimulating the economy!
No shopping here (for obvious reasons) and just a short ride. I only went one time to a black friday sale at Bestbuys at the request of a friend and swore I would never go again, too many crazy people out there.
