Christmas 2010: Cross One More Thing Off Your Bucket List, Kenny
Same question, different Christmas.
What do you get for the boy who doesn’t need anything? This year, Kenny got a dualsport trip to Moab, Utah.

My first and biggest hurdle for planning was: Can you rent dirt bikes? Where? And How?
Through the advice of friends, I got in touch with Jim at KTM of Moab and began to gather details on what sort of riding and rental options were available. He was friendly, enthusiastic and made you feel like you’ve known each other for years. As Jim and I spoke, it became abundantly clear that this trip would be a home run.
Fast Forward A Few Weeks
Kenny and I were sitting on the train heading in to a party in NYC. We sat chit-chatting, talking about the quickly approaching new year. We talked about our travel wish lists, the places we’d like to visit, things we’d like to see. He mentioned he’d love to ride dirt bikes out west, you know, maybe see Moab.
I know that I really don’t have any kind of a poker face. My skin prickled, I smiled nervously and thought for sure that I’d just tipped my hand. But he just kept on talking. What a coincidence! It made me feel good to know that I was on the money.
Now the daydreaming starts
Being able to give someone you love something they love is priceless.
Just one word “AWESOME”, your wish came true with the socks, waiting on your reviews.
Oooohhh. Moab. I am not much of an off-roader, but what a gorgeous area. You think of the coolest gifts. I can imagine that one will be fantastic!
Oh, what a lucky guy, and what a wonderful idea. I have been in the area (not on a motorbike though), and loved it. I am sure he will have a blast.
There is only one thing I love more than riding my motorcycle and thats riding my dirt bike. Man, do I wish I were coming along. Time to update my bucket list to include dirt biking in Moab… such a magnificent part of the country!!
Thanks, TM. It’s really tough to think of things for someone who doesnt want or need anything!
Sonja – It looks spectacular. Any tips you have for things to see/do outside of riding would be most welcome.
Judy – I bet you have a great list. How about sharing it with the rest of the class? We can all use some inspiration 😉
