Sights from the Road: Stickers, Tags and Sign Vandalism
Street art is easy to spot when moving through large cities like New York. It’s everywhere! And while in some may be considered vandalism, it can be really beautiful, funny and thought provoking. It can often be a spot on social commentary of the world it exists in.
Out here in suburbia, really good street art is a bit less commonplace. But, if you look carefully there are little examples here and there. When I’m out riding around on my bike I have found some great sticker bombs, tags and writing. I particularly like things that make me laugh or think.

Apparently we have someone locally who is really pushing the 9-11 was an inside job agenda. There is also a defaced roadside art mural on the Long Island Expressway with the same sentiment.

Hey, I know that fire plug… curiously, you can find it right outside of Irregular shoes. The giant cat and the lamp post bottoms are very familiar too, I just can’t remember where they are.
Fuzz, if you’re into street art, the neighborhood now known as “Nolita” encompassing the blocks inside and between Lafayette & the Bowery and Grand St & Houston was once world famous and world class as far as street art goes. There’s not much left though but you can still find it if you’re looking for it. Incidentally, Nolita’s still the center of the universe as far street wear goes – Supreme, Flight Club, WESC, Nort, etc. Oh, and Irregular shoes

Hiya Soth
Every time we come in to manhattan I drag the family around the streets just looking at “things.” One day I’ll have to talk you in to guiding me around.
I’m on a shoe-buying freeze – I’m trying to curb my bad behavior. We don’t speak of IC in this house unless you want to send me on a bender
